Galvanic treatment

INFORMATION

Galvanic treatments are applied to metallic parts, mainly contacts and fingerstock in copper beryllium alloy. The plating can be zinc, nickel, tin, silver or even gold and it helps increasing the galvanic compatibility between the gasket and the metal base where it is mounted. Plating to enhance galvanic compatibility will reduce and prevent oxidation and galvanic corrosion.
