All equipment containing electronic or electrical circuitry in which electrical signals are changing in magnitude are potential radiators of electromagnetic interference (EMI).This interference may be slight or severe and if it falls anywhere in the frequency spectrum from kilohertz to gigahertz is classified as radio frequency interference (RFI).There are two aspects to RFI shielding : preventing externally generated RFI from reaching a sensitive equipment and preventing a piece of equipment from generating RFI.
