Equipment containing electric or electronic circuits that carry rapidly changing electrical currents can generate electromagnetic interference (EMI).
This disturbance can vary in severity; if it ranges in the kilohertz-gigahertz frequency spectrum, it is classified as Radio Frequency Interference (RFI).
