Euro Technologies expands its electromagnetic interference (EMI) suppression portfolio with Eccosorb™ 5G Hi F1, a thin silicone-based elastomeric absorber specifically designed for ultra-high-frequency applications.
This material is highly effective in reducing specular reflections and suppressing cavity resonances and surface currents. Optimized to operate in an extreme frequency range between 40 GHz and 100 GHz, the absorber delivers excellent performance with an attenuation of up to 75 dB at 60 GHz.
Millimeter-Wave Reliability for 5G and Automotive
The flexible silicone formulation ensures excellent mechanical properties (70 Shore A hardness) and high thermal stability, allowing the material to operate within a temperature range of -55°C to +165°C. The product also features a UL94 V1 flammability rating and complies with RoHS and REACH regulations.
Thanks to its exceptional absorption capabilities in the millimeter-wave (mmWave) band, Eccosorb™ 5G Hi F1 solves critical design challenges in the Telecommunications (5G) market. It is successfully integrated into Active Antenna Units (AAU) and Small Cells, preventing interference and unwanted coupling in confined spaces with ultra-high component density. Another key application is found in the Automotive sector, particularly within high-frequency radar modules for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), where the absorber cleans the signal, significantly improving the accuracy and reliability of obstacle detection.
Available in standard thicknesses from 0.50 mm to 1.00 mm, with or without pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA), the material can be easily die-cut to custom drawings to fit any structural geometry.
