Electro-Coat gaskets are made of a sealing gasket (typically sponge silicone) covered by conductive material (typically silver based).
The core is resilient and no metal particles are contained in the mix, which results in optimum compression and tearing resistance properties.
Silver, a conductive material, is only present in the thin outer membrane covering the core; this provides excellent conductive properties and very low compression force.
Depending on the application, other materials and finishings are possible.
